Gore gets cold shoulder

January 08, 2010
A two-ton ice sculpture has returned to the front of a Fairbanks, Alaska, liquor store.

"Frozen Gore" first went on display last year as a dig at Gore's beliefs about climate change.

This year's version is hooked to the exhaust of a pickup truck, giving the homage of the former vice president the appearance that it is spouting hot air while a Gore speech on climate change plays over a loudspeaker.

The sculpture was commissioned by two businessmen, Craig Compeau and Rudy Gavora, who want Gore to discuss global warming in Fairbanks.

"We don't agree with his theories -- we're suspicious of the financial motivation behind them," Compeau told the Associated Press.
