Workers entering the oilfield may encounter any number of hazardous environments--none more dangerous or misunderstood than those containing hydrogen sulfide gas. To protect against these hazards, oilfield workers are required by OSHA to be educated annually on how to identify them, and what equipment, policies, and procedures are required for safe entry. This class is designed to meet this annual OSHA requirement for safely working in H2S environments in accordance with the ANSI Z390.1 standard.

With an emphasis on hands-on learning, the Red Cross First Aid/CPR/AED course gives participants the skills needed to save a life. All course options align with OSHA’s Best Practices for Workplace First Aid Training. The Adult First Aid/CPR/AED course teaches students to recognize and care for a variety of first aid emergencies such as burns, cuts, scrapes, sudden illnesses, heat and cold emergencies, along with how to respond to breathing and cardiac emergencies for victims about 12 years and older.
